Perfectionism & Anxiety Therapy
For the woman who looks composed on the outside while quietly running on empty, therapy offers a place to finally set it all down.

You may recognize yourself here
Anxiety and perfectionism often travel together: the drive to do everything well, and the exhaustion of never feeling like it's enough.
Many of my clients are thoughtful, responsible, and accustomed to holding everything together. They understand their patterns intellectually but still struggle to change how they feel when worry or self-criticism takes over. In our work, we slow down the cycle beneath the anxiety, understand what it's protecting, and build steadier, kinder ways of responding to yourself.
- Constant worry and a mind that rarely slows down
- Perfectionism and an unrelenting inner critic
- People-pleasing and difficulty saying no
- Burnout from holding everything together
- Racing thoughts, tension, and trouble resting
- Fear of failure, or of being truly seen

What does therapy for perfectionism look like?
We look at what perfectionism is protecting you from, including criticism, disappointment, and being seen as not enough, and practice a different response. Over time the standard stops being flawless and starts being honest, sustainable, and yours.
Why do I procrastinate on the things I care about most?
Procrastination and perfectionism usually travel together: if it can't be done perfectly, starting feels unbearable. We work on lowering the stakes of beginning, tolerating imperfect first drafts, and quieting the self-criticism that follows.
Is this burnout, or something else?
Burnout often shows up as emotional exhaustion, cynicism, and a sense that nothing you do lands. It can overlap with anxiety, depression, or ADHD. Part of our early work is naming what's actually happening so the plan fits the problem.
Can therapy help with work-life balance?
Yes. Much of this work is practical: boundaries at work and home, recovering rest without guilt, and making decisions from clarity rather than fear of letting someone down.
Sessions are available in person in Tustin, near Irvine and greater Orange County, and online to residents anywhere in California.
