Individual Therapy
Burnout Therapy for Women
For the woman everyone relies on, who is quietly running on empty, therapy offers a place to set the weight down and rebuild from steadier ground.

You may recognize yourself here
Burnout rarely arrives all at once. It accumulates: the career you're proud of, the people you care for, the standards you hold yourself to, until the things that used to feel meaningful mostly feel heavy.
For many women, burnout isn't just about workload. It's tangled up with perfectionism, people-pleasing, guilt about rest, and the belief that your worth is measured by what you produce or provide. In therapy, we untangle that: what's depleting you, what keeps you over-functioning, and what a sustainable version of your life could actually look like.
- Emotional exhaustion that rest doesn't fix
- Dreading work you used to find meaningful
- Guilt whenever you stop, slow down, or say no
- Feeling responsible for everyone and everything
- Irritability, brain fog, or a shortened fuse
- A quiet sense of "is this all there is?"
How we work
Sessions are 50 minutes, in person in Tustin, CA or online anywhere in California. Together we'll challenge the beliefs that keep you over-functioning and practice the unglamorous skills of sustainable living: boundaries, rest without guilt, and decisions made from clarity rather than fear of disappointing someone.

What does burnout therapy look like?
We start by naming what's actually depleting you, which is often more than workload. From there, the work is twofold: practical changes to how you spend your energy, and deeper work on the beliefs that made over-functioning feel necessary in the first place.
Is burnout the same as depression?
They can look similar: exhaustion, numbness, loss of motivation. Burnout is usually tied to specific demands and improves with real rest and boundaries, while depression colors everything. Part of our early work is telling the difference so the plan fits the problem.
Do I need to quit my job to recover from burnout?
Usually not. Recovery is less about escaping your life and more about changing your relationship to it: where your boundaries are, what you keep carrying that isn't yours, and how you respond to the guilt that shows up when you protect your time.
Can therapy help with work-life balance?
Yes. Much of this work is practical: boundaries at work and home, recovering rest without guilt, and making decisions from clarity rather than fear of letting someone down.
Sessions are available in person in Tustin, near Irvine and greater Orange County, and online to residents anywhere in California.
