Support for life's threshold seasons

Motherhood and perimenopause are two of the most significant, and least talked about, passages in a woman's life.

As a Perinatal Mental Health Certification-trained therapist, I offer a space where nothing you feel is too much or too dark to say out loud. We'll make sense of the emotional, hormonal, and identity shifts you're moving through, and build practical ways to care for yourself in the midst of caring for everyone else.

  • Feeling unlike yourself after having a baby
  • Postpartum anxiety, overwhelm, or intrusive worry
  • Grief for your previous identity or life
  • Mood shifts, brain fog, and sleep disruption in perimenopause
  • Rage, irritability, or anxiety that feels new and alarming
  • Relationship strain during seasons of hormonal change

How we work

Sessions are 50 minutes, in person in Tustin, CA or online anywhere in California. Together we'll normalize what you're experiencing, ease the shame around it, and help you reconnect with a steadier, kinder sense of self.

Common questions about postpartum and perinatal therapy

Is this postpartum anxiety or postpartum depression?

They often overlap. Postpartum anxiety tends to look like constant worry, checking, and an inability to rest even when the baby sleeps; postpartum depression more often looks like heaviness, numbness, or hopelessness. Both are common and both respond well to support.

I'm having scary intrusive thoughts. Is that normal?

Unwanted intrusive thoughts are very common after birth and are not a sign that you would act on them or that you're a bad mother. Saying them out loud in a safe place usually reduces their grip. If you ever feel at risk of harming yourself or your baby, call or text 988 right away.

Can therapy help me process a difficult birth?

Yes. Birth trauma deserves care in its own right. We can work with the memory at a pace you set, including EMDR, so the experience stops replaying in your body.

I feel like I've lost myself since becoming a mother.

That shift in identity has a name: matrescence. It's real, even when everything looks fine from outside. Therapy makes room for the grief alongside the love, and helps you find your footing again.

Sessions are available in person in Tustin, near Irvine and greater Orange County, and online to residents anywhere in California.
